Charge pump at 1.2 MHz, fixed 5 V out
The LTC3204EDC-5#TRMPBF is a step-up charge pump from Analog Devices that delivers a regulated 5 V output from an input between 2.7 V and 5.5 V. It switches at 1.2 MHz, which keeps the external flying capacitors small — two ceramic caps and an output cap are all it needs, no inductor. The fixed output means no feedback divider — the 5 V tolerance is set internally.
Housed in a 6-lead WFDFN with exposed pad (2 mm × 2 mm), this is a surface-mount part that needs a hot-air or reflow station to replace — not a socket-swap candidate for a parking-lot fix. The tape-and-reel packaging (also available in cut tape) suits pick-and-place assembly. Orientation is standard — pin 1 is marked by a dot on the package top, and the DFN's asymmetric pad shape prevents reverse mounting.
