12-bit pipelined ADC at 10 MSPS — what it fits
The LTC2225CUH#PBF is a 12-bit pipelined ADC from Linear Technology that samples at 10 MSPS. It accepts either differential or single-ended inputs through a single S/H-ADC channel, and outputs data over a parallel interface. The 12-bit resolution and 10 MSPS rate suit it for digitizing moderate-bandwidth signals in communications receivers, medical imaging front-ends, and test equipment where 10 MSPS is the throughput ceiling. The pipelined architecture keeps latency low for multiplexed or burst-mode acquisition.
Supply and temperature — indoor bench only
Analog and digital supplies run from 2.7 V to 3.4 V. The 0°C to 70°C operating range is commercial grade.
Lifecycle and sourcing
The LTC2225CUH#PBF is listed as Active with ROHS3 compliance. It ships in a Tube.
Differential input — why it matters
The differential input mode rejects common-mode noise on the analog signal pair, which is critical when the ADC is fed from a twisted-pair cable or a transformer-coupled source. Single-ended mode simplifies the front-end when the signal source is ground-referenced and the noise floor is low enough. The 1:1 S/H-to-ADC ratio means one sample-and-hold feeds one converter — no interleaving artifacts to manage.
