Programmable silicon oscillator, 1 kHz to 33 MHz
The LTC1799CS5#TRMPBF is a silicon oscillator that generates a square-wave output from 1 kHz to 33 MHz, set by a single external resistor. No crystal, ceramic resonator, or external timing capacitor is needed — the frequency is programmed by the resistor value between the SET pin and ground. Supply current is 700 µA typical across the full frequency range, making it a low-power alternative to crystal oscillators in battery-operated or power-sensitive designs. The 2.7V to 5.5V supply range lets it run directly from a 3.3V or 5V rail without a separate LDO.
