12-bit DAC with a friendly footprint
The LTC1659IMS8#PBF is a single-channel, 12-bit voltage-output DAC from Analog Devices.
What the ratings mean for your circuit
The 14 µs settling time (typical) means the output voltage reaches within 1/2 LSB of its final value in that window — fast enough for closed-loop control loops updating at tens of kilohertz, but not for video-rate waveforms. Integral nonlinearity (INL) is ±5.5 LSB max, and differential nonlinearity (DNL) is ±0.5 LSB max — the DNL spec guarantees monotonicity, so every increase in digital code produces a positive voltage step with no missing codes. Reference is external, so the output span tracks whatever reference voltage you supply.
Active and ready to design in
It's ROHS3 compliant, so it fits lead-free assembly lines without exemption paperwork. If you need 125°C, the AD5662ARMZ-1 sibling handles that grade.
