12-bit SAR with an 8-channel front-end
The LTC1598IG#PBF is a 12-bit successive-approximation ADC from the microPOWER™ series, integrating an 8-channel multiplexer and a sample-and-hold ahead of the converter core. It samples at 16.8 ksps — fast enough for multi-channel data acquisition in process control or battery monitoring, where the mux steps through eight single-ended inputs per conversion cycle. The SPI data interface keeps the digital side simple: a 4-wire bus ties directly to any MCU or DSP without glue logic.
External reference input (REF) sets the full-scale range — the user picks the voltage that matches the sensor output swing, not a fixed internal bandgap.
