Quad comparator with on-chip 1.221V reference
The LTC1445CS#PBF packs four independent comparators and a precision 1.221V voltage reference into a single 16-SOIC package, saving board space and external reference components in multi-channel threshold detection. Each comparator outputs CMOS or TTL logic levels, so it drives digital inputs directly without a pull-up resistor — the output type is selectable via the supply configuration.
12µs propagation delay and 50mV hysteresis
A 12µs max propagation delay means the comparator responds to an over-voltage or under-voltage condition within one 83 kHz cycle — fast enough for power-supply sequencing and fault detection loops in industrial control. Built-in 50mV hysteresis prevents output chatter when the input signal sits near the threshold — no external positive-feedback resistor network needed, which simplifies the BOM and layout. 80 dB CMRR and 80 dB PSRR keep the threshold accurate even when the common-mode voltage shifts or the supply rail droops — the reference stays stable to within a few millivolts across the 2V to 11V single-supply range.
