Product details

Dual 8.5 A Silent Switcher 2 for automotive power trees

The LT8652SIV#PBF is a dual-channel step-down regulator from Analog Devices' Silent Switcher®2 family, delivering 8.5 A per output from a 3 V to 18 V input rail. The two outputs share a single 36-LQFN (4x7 mm) package, making it a dense solution for point-of-load rails in automotive ECUs that need separate core and I/O voltages. Each channel integrates a synchronous rectifier and regulates down to a fixed 0.6 V output, covering the low-voltage core supplies common in modern microcontrollers and FPGAs. The switching frequency is programmable from 300 kHz to 3 MHz, letting the designer balance efficiency against output ripple and external component size.

AEC-Q100 Grade 1 and the full automotive temperature sweep

The part carries AEC-Q100 qualification, meaning it passed the automotive-grade stress tests: high-temperature operating life, temperature cycling, and ESD robustness per the standard. The operating junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C (TJ) covers the under-hood and cabin ambient profiles, including the 105°C+ soak that non-automotive parts cannot guarantee. With a 3 V minimum input, the regulator stays operational through a cold-crank event where the 12 V battery dips into the 4-5 V range. The 18 V maximum input provides margin above a nominal 12 V or 24 V bus, though load-dump transients above 18 V still require external clamping.

Active lifecycle and sourcing posture

RoHS3 compliant per the manufacturer's declaration, so it passes the EU material restrictions without a waiver. The part is supplied in tray packaging, which is the standard format for the 36-LQFN package and suits both pick-and-place assembly and small-lot prototyping.
