Dual comparator with integrated 400mV reference
The LT6700MPS6-3#TRMPBF is a dual comparator with a built-in 400mV voltage reference, part of Analog Devices' Over-The-Top® series. It combines two comparators and a precision reference in a single TSOT-23-6 package, reducing external component count for threshold-detection circuits. Operating from a 1.4V to 18V single supply, it covers both low-voltage battery rails and industrial 12V or 15V buses without needing a separate reference IC. The open-collector outputs allow wired-OR connections and level shifting to higher-voltage logic.
Parametric limits that define the operating envelope
The 13.5mV of built-in hysteresis prevents output chatter when the input signal crosses the threshold slowly — critical in noisy environments like motor-drive current-sense or battery-monitor trip points. The 29µs maximum propagation delay sets the response ceiling for overcurrent or overvoltage detection loops. Quiescent current is 19µA max across the full supply range, making it suitable for always-on monitoring in battery-powered systems. Input bias current maxes at 0.05µA — negligible for high-impedance divider networks used to set trip voltages. The two comparator elements share the same reference, so threshold tracking between channels stays tight over temperature — important for window comparators or redundant trip circuits.
TSOT-23-6 integration and board-fit
The TSOT-23-6 package (1.6 mm × 2.9 mm body) fits into compact layouts. The thin profile suits height-constrained designs like handheld instruments or sensor modules. Available in tape-and-reel (TR) or cut-tape (CT) formats, the part supports both prototype builds and production reels. The ROHS3 compliance covers EU material restrictions without exemption declarations.
