Push-pull regulator with 1A output and isolation-ready topology
The LT3999HMSE#PBF is a push-pull switching regulator delivering 1A output from a 2.7V to 36V input rail.
Switching frequency and transformer sizing
A lower frequency lets you use a smaller core but needs more turns and a larger inductor; 1MHz shrinks the magnetics but demands careful layout to keep switching losses in check. The adjustable output is set with an external resistor divider, so you dial in exactly the secondary voltage the load needs. No synchronous rectifier is integrated, which means the output stage uses external Schottky diodes. That is standard for isolated push-pull designs — the diode drop adds a few percent loss, but the simplicity and isolation rating are worth the trade-off for many industrial and telecom supplies.
150°C junction rating and package thermal path
Rated for junction temperatures up to 150°C, the LT3999HMSE#PBF handles hot environments — under-hood automotive, base-station power amps, or sealed enclosures with limited airflow.
