Triple current-feedback amp in a through-hole DIP — what it is and where it fits
The LT1260CN#PBF is a triple current-feedback operational amplifier from the LT® series, packing three independent CFA channels into a single 16-pin DIP package. Its headline rating is a 1600 V/µs slew rate with a 130 MHz -3dB bandwidth, which puts it squarely in the video-distribution, high-speed ADC driver, and cable-driver space — not a general-purpose op-amp you'd grab for a low-speed sensor buffer. The current-feedback topology means gain-bandwidth product is less of a constraint than with voltage-feedback amps; you trade DC precision (2 mV input offset, 20 µA input bias) for that slew rate and bandwidth. Supply range is 4 V to 30 V, single or split, and each channel draws 5 mA quiescent. The 16-DIP through-hole package (0.300" body) is the legacy footprint that keeps this part relevant for retrofit, repair, and through-hole-only board designs where a surface-mount CFA won't fit the hole pattern.
