Precision 5 V reference for analog front-ends
The LT1021CCN8-5#PBF is a precision 5 V series voltage reference with a buried-zener architecture. It delivers a fixed 5 V output with an initial tolerance of ±0.05% and a temperature coefficient of 20 ppm/°C over the 0°C to 70°C commercial range.
Lifecycle and sourcing — active, no LTB pressure
The LT1021CCN8-5#PBF carries an Active lifecycle status from Analog Devices. There is no last-time-buy notice or NRND flag on this part. It remains a current-production choice for new designs and is available through the independent distribution channel. For dual-sourcing or a drop-in alternate, the AD586JNZ from Analog Devices is a functional peer: it also provides a 5 V fixed output in an 8-pin DIP, but with a wider ±0.4% tolerance and 25 ppm/°C drift — a step down in precision. The AD586MNZ matches the ±0.04% tolerance class but carries a 2 ppm/°C drift, which is tighter than the LT1021CCN8-5#PBF. Neither is a pin-for-pin second source without verifying the pinout and compensation scheme, but they cover the same application space.
