4.5-digit LCD driver for panel meters and instrumentation
The Maxim ICM7224IQH+D is a CMOS LCD driver IC that drives a 4.5-digit 7-segment LCD display directly. It integrates the backplane oscillator, segment drivers, and a precision voltage divider on-chip, so a panel-meter or digital-readout design needs only the display and a handful of passives. The 10 µA supply current makes it viable for battery-powered or loop-powered instruments where every microamp is budgeted. Supply range spans 3V to 6V, covering both 3.3V and 5V logic rails without a separate regulator.
Package and mounting: 44-PLCC with J-leads
The part comes in a 44-lead PLCC (J-Lead) package, 16.59 mm square. It can be soldered directly to the board or socketed with a standard PLCC-44 socket.
