The DS80C320-MNG+ is an 8-bit microcontroller built around the 8051 core processor, clocked at 25 MHz. This speed determines instruction-cycle timing for time-critical loops in industrial control, sensor polling, or serial communication tasks. As a ROMless device, all program memory must reside externally — the 256 x 8 on-chip RAM serves register file and scratchpad only. This suits designs where code is stored in external EPROM, flash, or OTP memory, typical in legacy 8051 systems or prototyping.
