Active lifecycle and key parametrics
The DS3903E-020+: This is a triple digital potentiometer with 128 taps per channel, configured as a linear taper via an I²C interface. Two resistance elements are available: 10 kΩ and 90 kΩ per channel. The non-volatile memory type (E2PROM) retains the wiper position at power-up, removing the need for a host to reload the setting after each power cycle.
Temperature grade and supply envelope
The wiper resistance is 250 Ω typical, and the temperature coefficient is ±300 ppm/°C typical, which defines the drift budget in a precision voltage-divider application.
The supplier device package is 20-TSSOP. The selectable-address feature (via the I²C interface) allows up to two devices on the same bus without an address conflict, useful for multi-channel calibration or trim circuits. Resistance tolerance is ±20%; confirm the end-of-life resistance window against the application's trim range before committing the BOM.
