20Kbit 1-Wire EEPROM — memory organization and interface
The DS28EC20Q+T is a 20Kbit non-volatile EEPROM organized as 256 x 80 bits, accessed over a single-contact 1-Wire interface. The 256 x 80 organization means each of the 256 pages holds 80 bits — this is not a byte-addressable memory; the smallest read/write unit is the page. Typical applications include storing serial numbers, calibration constants, or configuration data that fits within a page boundary. The 1-Wire bus carries both power and data on a single line, so the host side needs only one GPIO and a pull-up resistor. The part draws its operating current from the bus during communication, but the EEPROM cells retain data without power — non-volatile storage means the calibration or ID survives a power cycle.
Package and board-fit — 6-TDFN with exposed pad
Housed in a 6-WDFN exposed pad package (also designated 6-TDFN, 3x3 mm). Supplied on Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) — standard reel quantities for pick-and-place.
ROHS3 compliant (no exemptions that expire), which keeps it clear for EU and UKCA markets without a re-qualification cycle.
