Board-level identification and interface
The DS2502S+ is a 1Kbit (128 x 8) OTP EPROM that communicates over a single-wire 1-Wire bus, reducing board area and pin count to just a data line and ground. It is catalogued under DC-DC Power Modules but functions as a non-volatile memory for calibration constants, serialization data, or configuration parameters in a power supply or module.
Operates from 2.8V to 6V, covering common 3.3V and 5V rails with margin.
Memory technology and field programming
OTP EPROM technology means each bit is programmed once, permanently. The 128 x 8 organization allows byte-level writes during manufacturing or depot-level programming, but no field updates. This is the right choice when the stored data must never change after final test.
The 1.27mm pitch is routable on a two-layer board with standard soldering profiles.
