4Kbit 1-Wire EEPROM for identity and calibration storage
The DS24B33+T&R is a 4Kbit serial EEPROM communicating over the 1-Wire® bus — a single data line plus ground carries both power and bidirectional data, so a remote sensor node or add-on board can store calibration coefficients, serial numbers, or configuration parameters without dedicating extra GPIO or a separate power rail. Organized as 256 x 16 bits, the memory is non-volatile and retains data through power cycles. The 2 µs access time means the host microcontroller can read a calibration table during boot without stalling the startup sequence.
TO-92-3 package and board integration
Housed in a TO-92-3 through-hole package with formed leads — the same footprint as a standard transistor. This makes it breadboard-friendly for prototyping and easy to retrofit into existing through-hole PCB layouts where a surface-mount EEPROM would require a board spin. The 1-Wire interface requires only a single pull-up resistor on the data line. No external clock or address pins — each DS24B33 has a unique 64-bit ROM ID, so multiple devices can share the same bus and be addressed individually by the host.
