6-TSOC package and board-fit
The DS2465P+ ships in a 6-pin SMD J-Lead package, supplier device package 6-TSOC. Supplied in Tube format, so it feeds through standard tube feeders or hand-place for low-volume builds. No tape-and-reel option is listed; if the pick-and-place line expects tape, the Tube-to-reel transfer adds a handling step.
I²C-to-1-Wire bridge — what it does on the bus
The DS2465P+ is a protocol bridge: it translates I²C master commands into 1-Wire signalling. This lets a standard MCU with an I²C port talk to 1-Wire sensors, memory, or authentication chips without bit-banging the 1-Wire timing in firmware. Supply current is 750 µA typical — low enough that the bridge can share the 3.3 V rail with the host MCU and still leave margin for the 1-Wire pull-up. No separate power plane is needed. It is not 5 V tolerant; feeding 5 V into VDD will exceed the abs-max and damage the part. The I²C bus must also run at 3.3 V logic levels.
Temperature grade and deployment envelope
This covers factory-floor control cabinets, outdoor telecom shelters, and HVAC equipment. Not qualified for under-hood automotive (AEC-Q100 not listed), but fine for most commercial and industrial enclosures.
Active lifecycle and compliance posture
It is a current-production part suitable for new designs. ROHS3 compliant, so it clears EU/UKCA RoHS without exemption paperwork. No pin-compatible second source or official successor is documented. The 1-Wire bridge space is narrow; if a second-source hedge is required, the BOM should be qualified with the ADI part as the sole source.
