1Kbit 1-Wire EEPROM in a TO-92-3 can
The DS2431+: The DS2433+ is a 1Kbit EEPROM organized as 256 x 4 bits, communicating over a single-wire bus using the 1-Wire protocol. It comes in a TO-92-3 through-hole package, the same three-lead can used for decades in identification and calibration memory applications.
Memory organization and bus integration
The 256 x 4 organization means the memory is arranged in 256 words of 4 bits each — a 1Kbit total. This is a non-volatile EEPROM, so data persists without power, and the 1-Wire interface requires only a single data line plus ground, which simplifies cabling in retrofit or field-upgrade scenarios. The TO-92-3 package (TO-226-3, TO-92-3 (TO-226AA)) is a standard through-hole footprint that can be hand-soldered or socketed.
The part is manufactured by Analog Devices, a major semiconductor supplier with long-term support for the 1-Wire product line.
