Dual 10kΩ digital pot with I²C and non-volatile wiper storage
The DS1855E-010+T&R is a dual 10kΩ digital potentiometer from Analog Devices, configured as two independent potentiometers with a linear taper. It communicates over an I²C interface and stores wiper positions in non-volatile memory, so the setting persists after power cycling. Each potentiometer offers 256 tap positions in the variable-resistor mode and 100 taps in the potentiometer mode, giving 0.4% resolution on a 10kΩ end-to-end resistance. The wiper resistance is 400Ω typical, which defines the minimum output impedance.
Supply range and temperature grade for industrial designs
The temperature coefficient is 750 ppm/°C typical, which at 10kΩ full scale means roughly 7.5Ω drift per °C. For an open-loop trim setting this is fine; for a precision voltage divider, budget the drift against the system accuracy requirement.
14-TSSOP package and surface-mount integration
Housed in a 14-TSSOP (4.40mm width) package, the DS1855E-010+T&R mounts on the same footprint as standard logic and mixed-signal ICs. The supplier device package is 14-TSSOP, so the land pattern matches the Analog Devices recommended layout. The selectable address feature lets up to four devices share the same I²C bus without address conflicts.
