Push-pull output — no external pull-up resistor needed
The DS1812R-15+T&R uses a push-pull, totem-pole output stage. That means the reset output drives both high and low actively — no external pull-up resistor is required. In contrast, an open-drain output would need a pull-up to the reset input's supply. This simplifies the BOM and saves board space, especially in dense designs. The output is active-high, so the reset signal goes high when the monitored voltage is below threshold, and goes low (or high-impedance, depending on the design) when the voltage is good. Verify that your processor's reset input is active-high; if it expects an active-low reset, this part will not work without an inverter.
Active production — no LTB risk for new designs
The DS1812R-15+T&R is listed as Active in the manufacturer's lifecycle status. It is also ROHS3 compliant. For procurement, this part can be specified into new BOMs without worrying about imminent obsolescence. Availability is confirmed through independent distribution; we source and quote to order against an RFQ, with current pricing and lead time confirmed at quote time.
