SPI RTC with 96 bytes of NVSRAM and trickle-charge backup
The DS1306EN+T&R is a real-time clock/calendar from Analog Devices, communicating over an SPI bus and maintaining time in 12- or 24-hour format with a YY-MM-DD-dd date register. It integrates 96 bytes of NVSRAM for user data retention, a programmable square-wave output, and a trickle-charger that keeps the backup battery topped off during main power.
Timekeeping current and temperature envelope
Timekeeping current draw is 25.3 µA typical at 2 V and rises to 81 µA at 5 V — the lower the supply, the less the battery drains during a power-loss event.
20-TSSOP footprint and surface-mount assembly
Housed in a 20-lead TSSOP with 0.65 mm pitch and a 4.40 mm body width, the DS1306EN+T&R fits a standard SOIC-20 land pattern with minor pad-width adjustment.
Active production and compliance status
The device is RoHS3 compliant (2011/65/EU + 2015/863), with no restricted substances above the threshold limits.
