Dual 100kΩ digital pot, 256 taps, linear taper
The DS1267BS-100+ from Analog Devices (Maxim Integrated) is a dual-channel digital potentiometer with a linear taper, 100kΩ end-to-end resistance, and 256 wiper positions per channel. The two independent pots share a common serial interface and come in a single 16-SOIC wide-body package (7.50 mm width). The volatile memory means the wiper position resets to midscale on power-up — the part does not retain the last setting across a power cycle. That is a design constraint to flag if you are used to nonvolatile digital pots.
Industrial temperature range — factory-floor and outdoor telecom
Rated from -40°C to 85°C, so it fits industrial control cabinets, outdoor telecom base stations, and factory automation gear. Not qualified for under-hood automotive (no AEC-Q100), but fine for most sealed enclosures with passive or forced-air cooling.
Cascade pin — daisy-chain multiple devices
The cascade pin lets you chain multiple devices on a single serial bus without extra chip-select lines.
Active lifecycle — no LTB pressure
The product status is Active. You can qualify it into a new BOM without worrying about an imminent EOL notice. The part is ROHS3 compliant, so it passes EU RoHS requirements as shipped.
