Phantom Time Chip with integrated NVSRAM
The DS1251Y-70+: The parallel interface reads and writes both the clock registers and the NVSRAM array over the same bus, so a single chip provides time-stamped data logging without external battery-backed memory. It tracks time in YY-MM-DD-dd date format and HH:MM:SS:hh in 12- or 24-hour mode, with automatic leap-year compensation through 2099. The 512 KB NVSRAM retains data when the supply drops below the minimum threshold — no separate backup battery required for the memory array.
Supply, temperature, and package fit
The commercial temperature grade covers 0 °C to 70 °C, suiting indoor equipment, instrumentation, and embedded controllers without extended-range ambient requirements. Housed in a 32-lead EDIP (0.600-inch body width, 15.24 mm row spacing), the through-hole package sits in a standard DIP socket or solders directly into plated through-holes on a double-sided board. The 0.100-inch pin pitch matches legacy bus architectures and simplifies manual assembly or rework. Supplied in tube packaging — the tube protects the leads during handling and feeds into automatic insertion equipment that accepts DIP-format tubes.
Active production, ROHS3 compliant
Fully ROHS3 compliant, with no restricted substances above the threshold limits. The lead-free finish is compatible with standard reflow and wave-solder profiles used for through-hole components.
