Switch identity and key parametrics
The DG419CJ+ is a single SPDT analog switch with a 2:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer configuration, housed in an 8-pin DIP through-hole package. On-state resistance is 35 Ohm max, with channel-to-channel matching of 3 Ohm max — tight enough for precision analog signal routing where gain error from Ron mismatch matters. Switching times are 175 ns for turn-on and 145 ns for turn-off, which suits audio-frequency multiplexing and general-purpose data acquisition below a few MHz.
Supply range and signal integrity
Charge injection is 3 pC typical, and channel capacitance is 8 pF for both source and drain — low enough that the glitch energy from switching is manageable in sample-and-hold front ends. Crosstalk is rated at -85 dB at 1 MHz, indicating good isolation between channels for a single-switch part — relevant when routing two independent signals through the same package.
Temperature grade and package fit
Supplied in a tube, the 8-DIP (0.300-inch row spacing) package is a standard through-hole footprint — easy to hand-solder or socket in prototype and low-volume builds. Leakage current is 250 pA max in the off state, so the switch won't load the signal path appreciably in high-impedance circuits like photodiode amplifiers.
