Quad SPST switch in 16-TSSOP
The DG412CUE+ from Analog Devices integrates four independent SPST-NO switches in a 16-TSSOP package, each with a 1:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer configuration. The 45 Ω max on-resistance with 3 Ω max channel-to-channel matching keeps the signal-path resistance consistent across all four channels — important for maintaining gain accuracy in multiplexed analog front-ends. Switching is rated at 175 ns turn-on and 145 ns turn-off maximum, fast enough for audio routing, data acquisition channel selection, and general-purpose analog signal switching below 1 MHz. The -85 dB crosstalk at 1 MHz ensures the channel being switched does not leak into the off channels at audible or low-frequency signal levels.
Supply flexibility and signal integrity
The part runs on either a single supply from 10 V to 30 V or dual supplies from ±4.5 V to ±20 V. This lets it handle bipolar analog signals up to the supply rails without external level shifting — common in test equipment and industrial control where the signal swings below ground. Charge injection is 5 pC typical, and the off-channel leakage is 250 pA max. The channel capacitance (CS(off) and CD(off)) is 9 pF each. These numbers mean the switch introduces minimal glitch energy and holds the signal charge when the channel opens — relevant for sample-and-hold stages and precision DAC output multiplexing.
Temperature grade and board fit
This limits the DG412CUE+ to indoor, climate-controlled equipment (lab instruments, audio gear, bench-top testers). For industrial or automotive temperature ranges, a different grade (e.g., -40°C to +85°C) would be needed. The 16-TSSOP package (4.40 mm width, 0.173" pitch) is a surface-mount footprint common on mixed-signal boards. The tube packaging means the parts arrive in a rigid anti-static tube — typical for low-volume prototyping and manual assembly lines where tape-and-reel is not required.
