8:1 analog multiplexer in a compact 16-TSSOP
The DG408CUE+T is a single 8:1 CMOS analog multiplexer from Analog Devices, designed to route one of eight input channels to a common output. It handles both analog and digital signals with a max on-resistance of 100 Ohm across the specified supply range. Switching performance and signal integrity
With a maximum switching time of 150 ns for both turn-on and turn-off, the DG408CUE+T handles moderate-speed analog switching and data acquisition front-ends without introducing significant delay. Channel-to-channel crosstalk is rated at -92 dB at 100 kHz, which keeps signal bleed between adjacent channels low enough for precision measurement and audio applications. Charge injection is 2 pC typical — this is the amount of charge dumped onto the signal path when the switch opens or closes, and it matters for sample-and-hold circuits where the injected charge can shift the held voltage.
Supply flexibility and channel matching
This range covers common analog rails like ±15 V and ±12 V, as well as single 5 V or 12 V systems. On-resistance matching between channels is 1.5 Ohm max, so the signal attenuation stays consistent regardless of which input is selected — useful for gain-stage switching and multiplexed sensor arrays. Off-channel leakage current is 500 pA max, and the off-channel capacitance is 26 pF, keeping the unselected inputs from loading the active signal path.
