16:1 analog multiplexer for signal routing
The Maxim Integrated DG406EWI+ is a single 16:1 analog multiplexer/demultiplexer in a 28-SOIC surface-mount package. It routes one of sixteen inputs to a common output, or the reverse as a demultiplexer. On-resistance is 100 Ohm max, with channel-to-channel matching held to 1.5 Ohm. Switching times are 200 ns on, 150 ns off. The part runs on a single supply from 5 V to 30 V, or dual supplies from ±4.5 V to ±20 V, suiting it for both single-ended and bipolar analog signal chains. Industrial temperature range (-40°C to 85°C) covers factory-floor, outdoor telecom, and engine-bay environments.

The 28-SOIC wide-body package (0.295 inch body width, 7.50 mm) is a standard footprint shared by many analog multiplexers and op-amps. The part ships in Tube; if your pick-and-place requires Tape & Reel, order the alternate suffix or plan for tube-to-reel transfer. Surface-mount reflow profile follows standard JEDEC MSL level for SOIC — no special handling beyond moisture-sensitive-device precautions.
