Dual SPDT analog switch in 16-SOIC
The Maxim DG303ACWE+ is a dual single-pole double-throw (SPDT) analog switch in a 16-SOIC surface-mount package. Each of the two independent switches connects a common terminal to one of two channel terminals, controlled by a logic-level input. The part is specified over the commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C, making it suitable for benchtop instrumentation, audio routing, and general-purpose signal multiplexing in controlled indoor environments.
Supply and signal handling
The DG303ACWE+ operates from dual supplies of ±5V to ±18V, giving it the headroom to handle analog signals that swing several volts above and below ground. The 50 ohm max on-resistance is moderate — fine for low-frequency analog paths where a few hundred millivolts of drop are tolerable, but worth checking against the load impedance in precision circuits. Switching times of 300 ns (turn-on) and 250 ns (turn-off) support multiplexing rates in the low megahertz range.
Crosstalk and charge injection
Crosstalk is specified at -74 dB at 500 kHz, which is adequate for separating two audio or low-frequency analog channels without noticeable bleed-through. Charge injection of 12 pC is a characteristic to watch in sample-and-hold or integrator front-ends where each switching event dumps a fixed charge onto the hold capacitor. Off-channel leakage is a maximum of 5 nA, and each channel presents 14 pF of capacitance to the source and load when off.
Package and mounting
The 16-SOIC wide-body package (0.295" body width, 7.50 mm) is a standard footprint shared by many dual analog switches and op-amps. The supplier device package code is 16-SOIC. The part ships in Tube form. Surface-mount assembly follows conventional SOIC reflow profiles.
Lifecycle and compliance
The DG303ACWE+ carries an Active product status — no last-time-buy or end-of-life notice is in effect. It is ROHS3 compliant. For current pricing and availability, submit an RFQ; the part is sourced through independent distribution and quoted to order.
