What this PROM is and where it fits
The AMD AM27PS41/BRA is a 16Kbit bipolar PROM organized 4K words by 4 bits, with a 65 ns access time and a single 4.5 V supply rail. It comes in a 20-pin PDIP for through-hole mounting and is rated over the full military temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. This part was designed for microcode storage, lookup tables, and logic replacement in avionics, missile guidance, satellite, and downhole equipment where the PROM is programmed once at the factory and never field-updated.
65 ns access time — what it means for the bus
The 65 ns access time sets the address-to-data valid window. It is slower than the 28 ns AM27S45SA/BLA sibling.
Military temperature grade and supply rail
Rated -55°C to 125°C case temperature. The 4.5 V supply is a single rail.
