Control features include an enable pin (EN), frequency control, and soft start — the soft start limits inrush current during startup, which is critical for avoiding transformer saturation and output overshoot on a cold start. ## Protection and supply range Built-in fault protection covers current limiting and over-temperature shutdown — the over-temperature trip protects the die if the thermal pad is not adequately sinked. The Vcc supply range is 8 V to 15 V, with a startup threshold of 11 V, so the auxiliary winding must deliver at least 8 V once the converter is running.
