In a common-cathode pair, the total dissipation depends on the duty cycle of each diode — a continuous 10 A load on one junction needs a heatsink sized for that 8.6 W plus the reverse leakage contribution at temperature. The 175°C Tj max allows operation in enclosures with limited airflow where a 150°C-rated Schottky would require derating. Reverse leakage at 200 V is 15 µA at room temperature, but Schottky leakage rises exponentially with junction temperature.
